Call for Papers

IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal based Surveillance

Prospective authors were invited to submit high-quality full papers presenting original results across all areas of signal-based surveillance.

Submission Scope

AVSS focuses on underlying theory, methods, systems, and applications of surveillance, with an emphasis on cross-disciplinary and innovative approaches.

Authors were encouraged to submit original work in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Video analytics and scene understanding
  • Object detection, tracking, and re-identification
  • Biometrics and soft biometrics
  • Multi-sensor and multi-modal surveillance
  • Activity and behaviour recognition
  • Crowd analysis and anomaly detection
  • Forensics, privacy, and data protection in surveillance
  • Surveillance systems, architectures, and applications

Format: Final papers were limited to 6 pages in double-column IEEE format, including all figures and references. All accepted manuscripts were published as IEEE proceedings.

Review & Publication

Submitted papers underwent a rigorous peer-review process. Authors whose papers were accepted received reviewer feedback and were required to revise their manuscripts accordingly before submitting the camera-ready version.

Detailed instructions for preparing the final submission — including adding author information, reverting anonymity measures, and using the IEEE PDF eXpress service — were provided in the Author Guidelines.
